Clarke

One of my favorite residential hall make-overs has been Clarke tower. The designs are large wall murals as well as elevator wraps that focus on the university’s sustainability initiative. It has been an absolute pleasure designing for this building in which I used to live.

Sustinere ad Infinitum

Sustinere ad Infinitum

In Latin it means “sustain forever” or “sustain until the end”. The elevator wrap which depicts the tree hearkens the former definition, which gets at the idea of a future that results from an embrace of sustainability. However, the second depicts what could happen if sustainability is rejected and instead of trying to sustain forever, we’ll be stuck sustaining until a finite end.
